"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even
more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle. It is easily
and often broken, but we still would not live any other way." *

Ali Rabba was my buddy for twelve and a half years. I lost him on
June 5, 2005, after two colic surgeries and 11 days at the Helen Woodward Center.
The feelings of loss were indescribable, but I have taken so much comfort from
my friends in the horse world. I thought I would have so much more time
with him, but such is life, is it not? Thank you to my friends and family, who cried
with me, supported me, and encouraged me through this dark period in my life.
Thank you, Lou Roper and Dara Weeks, from the Roper Ranch, who stayed with me
during the ordeal, and made me get on a horse again.
Most of all, thank you to my sister, Susan, who has given me a chance to love a
horse again with Indiannah.
